Natural granite is one of the densest materials on the planet.
The design and high specific gravity of the granite used on the platform have two major benefits when used with floor-standing or stand-mounted speakers;
1) Isolate unwanted noise reaching the speaker. Reverberation generated by each channel, particularly from the subwoofer, can affect the other speakers in your system. Dampening any induced vibrations results in an improved soundstage and a refined imagery.
2) Help eliminate 'smudging' of low-end frequencies transferring through to the subfloor (floor boards, carpet etc.). The result is a much tighter bass and refined mid-range.
The highly polished platform can be used on any flat flooring type as well as short and deep pile carpets.
All of the above allow your products to function at their optimal performance levels with no unnecessary vibrations thus giving a purer sound.
