The design and high specific gravity of the marble used on the platform has two major
benefits when used with floor-standing or stand-mounted speakers;
1) Isolate unwanted noise reaching the speaker. Reverberation generated by each channel, and in particular,
from the subwoofer, can affect the other speakers in your system.
Dampening any induced vibrations results in an improved soundstage and a refined imagery.
2) Help eliminate 'smudging' of low-end frequencies transferring through to the subfloor (floor boards, carpet etc.).
The result is a much tighter bass and refined mid range.
The highly polished platform can be used on any flat flooring type as well as short and deep pile carpets.
